LiPo batteries are the perfect energy source for model airplane propultion. With proper care they will last a long time.
I crashed my Super Cub LP. I remember the battery was warm when I removed it from the plane. Not really hot, just warm like I had been using a lot of throttle. By the time I got home, the battery was puffy but cool. Like many hobbiest, I consulted the great Goolge and found a small controversy on puffy LiPos. The image to the right is the puffy cell in the 3C package.
And I discovered the damage. Yup, this cell will not fly again.
